Saito Twin Cylinders

I was fortunate enough last year to realize one of my RC dreams, which was to own a twin cylinder engine.  In fact in the course of several months I had 3.  The first was a vintage Saito FA-80T.  This was a fine running engine and it powered a Value Hobby Easy Stik 60.  It was quite a challenge to find a suitable airframe for this engine.  They are not extremely powerful engines and are quite heavy to boot.  I also managed to get my hands on two more Saito FA-90T engines.  Now this engine is nearly identical to the FA-80T in power, weight, and mounting size. This engine also found its way into the Easy Stik.

I also scratch built a Fred Reese Cloud Dancer and installed the FA-90T into it.  I have several flight videos of these on the Airplanes page.  On this page I show some of my videos of these engines.  The first one on the FA-80T shows the very first time I ever started or ran a twin cylinder engine.  It was fun and quite a learning experience.  Enjoy!

I have several more videos on my YouTube page in a section titled Saito Twin Cylinder Engine Runs.  I no longer have any of the three engines.  I sold and traded them for other projects.  It was fun while it lasted and I really enjoyed owning and operating them.  I learned a ton too.
