One of the greatest pleasures I have in this hobby is buying used engines and cleaning them up.  Now I have several videos that I have titled "Box to the Bench" reviews.  These were engines sold to me and indicated as 'running engines', so I decided to do just that.  Run them straight out of the box.  Many engines I buy I really cannot do that with due to condition issues or the unknown condition of the engine.  Obviously I do not want to destroy a newly acquired engine and in thoses instances it is best that I just disassemble them and inspect the internal components.

I have titled some of the videos "A Look Inside".  In these videos I open them up for the first time while taking the video.  These are all 'first take' videos, as most of my videos are, and sometimes what is revealed inside is quite surprising.  Oftentimes engines purchased from eBay come with little or no background information on the engine so you really do not know what you are getting.  I like to use the initial look inside a bit of detective work and try to determine the history of the engine and run time by analyzing the wear or the internal components.

I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I did making them!

Here are some instruction manuals and reviews in .pdf format I have found for various engines.
