OS FS-40 Surpass...by accident

So I was browsing Ebay last week and saw an auction for this little engine. When I saw it the auction time was down to the last hour. There was only one bid so on a whim I bid $1 higher figuring I would quickly be outbid. Well that isn't how it happened. As the time wound down, no one was bidding on it... uh oh. I just bought an engine I was really only curious about. Anyway it is here and it is a fine example of 1986 OS engineering. This was the early days of the Surpass series of engines. I have taken pictures of it next to my 48 Surpass, which followed in 1987. You can tell many differences in the exteriors of these engines. I have not run this engine yet, but I did take a look inside. I plan on running it tomorrow.

I purchased some new bearings for the engine and installed them. It sounds much better now.
